How to enlarge an image

01

Choose a source image

Choose one JPG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MB.

Choose a scale for the size you need

Each scale increases both width and height. Start with the lowest scale that fits your layout, then review the result before downloading.

Fit a moderately larger layoutTry 2× first; check the expected pixels beside the scale option.Open the PNG at its intended size and inspect text, edges and fine details.
Need a larger canvas from a small imageChoose 4× if 2× does not provide enough pixels.Use zoom and before/after comparison; smoothing can soften source details.
Need the largest available pixel sizeUse 8× only when available; it needs more memory.Inspect the downloaded PNG; 8× cannot restore lost text or detail.

How does the PNG differ from the preview?

The preview is fitted to the workspace and zoom changes only its display. The PNG uses the selected 2×, 4× or 8× pixel dimensions. “Estimated image memory” describes processing pixels, not the downloaded file size.

If the source is already blurry

This tool smooths pixels while enlarging; it does not use an AI model to generate details. If sharpening or AI 2× is your priority, try AI Image Sharpener.

If the enlarged image is not usable

The image or text is still blurry
Try a lower scale and inspect at the intended display size. Adding pixels cannot recover information missing from the source.
4× or 8× is disabled
That output would exceed 16,384 px on one side or about 67 million pixels. Use an available scale or a smaller source image.
Processing or PNG export fails
Try a JPG, PNG or WebP up to 20 MB at a lower scale; close other tabs if the device is low on memory.

Where is the image processed?

The image is read, enlarged and exported as a PNG in your browser; this workflow does not send the file content to an KitoTool processing API. The page still has general analytics.
