Check the extracted PDF
Page count and content
The selector shows page numbers, not previews. Open the new PDF and compare its first page, last page and needed content with the original. Printed page numbers may differ from PDF page numbers.
Forms and digital signatures
If the original has form fields or digital signatures, open the download in the reader you will use to send it and check again. Creating a new document from pages does not verify those features.
If extraction does not work
- Invalid page number or range
- Check the page count in the tool. Enter numbers within that count, such as 1-3, 5; printed page numbers may be different.
- Password-protected or unreadable PDF
- Open the original. If you know its password, use PDF Password to make an unlocked copy and try again; a damaged file needs a valid PDF copy.
- Large file or limited device memory
- The input limit is 50 MB. If a valid file still fails, close other tabs or try a smaller PDF.
Where is the PDF processed?
In this extraction flow, your browser reads the selected file and creates a new PDF for download; file contents are not sent to an KitoTool split API. The page still loads a library from a CDN and sends general page analytics. The original file on your device is not changed.
