Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how KitoTool collects, uses and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

When you submit the contact form, KitoTool receives your name, email address, subject and message to handle your request. Tools may process files or content you provide as described on each tool's page.

Each tool explains where data is processed: Image Compressor runs directly in your browser, while Convert Audio to MP3 uploads files to our server for conversion with FFmpeg. Source audio files are deleted after processing; temporary MP3 files expire after 1 hour. We receive contact information only when you choose to submit the form.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit the website, our server and analytics system may process technical information such as your IP address or a hashed IP value, browser type, pages visited and referring URL to operate, protect and improve the service.

2. How We Use Information

Information you voluntarily provide is used for the following purposes:

  • Responding to your inquiries and support requests
  • Handling feature requests and bug reports
  • Improving our tools and services based on user feedback
  • Sending you updates about KitoTool, only with your consent

We will never use your personal information for marketing without your explicit consent.

3. Cookies

KitoTool uses session cookies for forms and essential features. Your language, theme and some tool preferences may be stored in cookies or browser storage. You can manage your cookie choices at any time.

Types of Cookies We Use

  • Essential: Session cookies and cookie preferences support forms, security and settings.
  • Optional analytics: With your permission, KitoTool records page views, tool interactions and technical information in its internal analytics system. Google Analytics code loads only when it is configured and you allow analytics.
  • Optional advertising: When you allow advertising and an administrator enables Google AdSense, Google may use cookies or identifiers for advertising under its policies.

You can change your choices on the cookie management page or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking essential cookies may affect forms.

4. Third-Party Services

The following third-party services may be used, depending on the features and settings currently enabled:

  • Google Gemini: When you choose KitoTool AI and submit a request, the text you enter and the necessary context may be sent through KitoTool’s server to Google Gemini to generate a result. On-device processing modes do not use this flow. Google Privacy Policy

These services may collect data under their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies.

5. Data Retention

Your cookie choices remain valid for up to 180 days. Login and form sessions expire according to server settings. Internal analytics data is cleaned up according to an administrator-configured retention period, which defaults to 365 days and has a minimum of 30 days. Contact information is retained to handle requests and deleted when no longer needed or following a valid request; there is currently no single automatic retention period for all inquiries.

Some tools process temporary files on the server and have their own retention periods, stated on the relevant tool page. Our infrastructure provider may retain technical server logs according to its own policies.

6. Data Security

We take data security seriously and use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. The website uses HTTPS encryption to protect data in transit.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. Although we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data (the "right to be forgotten").
  • Restriction of processing: Request limits on how your personal data is processed.
  • Data portability: Request transfer of your data to another service.

KitoTool is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately so we can take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
