Adjust light and color
Try a preset, then tune individual sliders; use Undo or Reset if the image looks too strong.
Compare and download a new file
Switch between Original and Adjusted, choose a format, then open the download to check color, edges and pixels.
Choose the adjustment that fits your image
Start with a small change, compare it with Original, then refine it. A preset is a starting point; you can still change the six sliders afterward.
| Situation | Try in the tool | Check |
|---|---|---|
| Image is dark or too bright | Adjust Exposure for the whole image, then fine-tune with Brightness. | Inspect highlights and shadows; detail missing from the source cannot be restored. |
| Colors look flat or tinted | Adjust Saturation and Temperature; add a little Contrast if the image still looks flat. | Compare skin, white backgrounds or product colors with the original to avoid an overly strong tint. |
| Edges look slightly soft | Raise Sharpness moderately and inspect text or fine edges. | If halos or noise become visible, lower the slider; it cannot recover lost detail. |
How do the preview and download differ?
The preview is limited to a 1,400 px long edge for editing. Export starts again from the source and keeps up to 4,096 px on the long edge; larger images are reduced. Open the download to check its pixels and detail.
Choose PNG, JPG or WebP?
PNG is the default and does not use the Quality slider. JPG and WebP allow 60–100% quality; check size and clarity after downloading. For transparent images, prefer PNG or WebP and inspect the background; JPG does not preserve transparency. Source metadata may not carry over to the new file.
If the result needs another pass
- Light or color looks too strong
- Compare with Original, lower the sliders one at a time or use Undo. Presets do not lock the sliders.
- The download has fewer pixels than the source
- The downloaded file has a 4,096 px long-edge limit. For a specific pixel size, use Image Resizer.
- The image will not open or export
- Try another JPG, PNG or WebP under 20 MB and 30 MP. If JPG or WebP export fails, try PNG or a smaller image; large files may run out of memory.
Where is the image processed?
The image is read, adjusted and exported in your browser; this workflow does not send the file content to an KitoTool processing API. The page still has general analytics. The source file on your device is not changed.
