Add Watermarks to PDFs in a Batch for Free

Add text or a PNG/JPG logo to up to 20 PDFs at once. Choose which pages to mark, check the preview, then download individual PDFs or a ZIP. A visible mark does not prevent content from being copied.

How to Watermark Multiple PDFs

01

Add your PDF files

Choose or drop up to 20 files, 100 MB each. Select a PDF from the list to inspect its pages before adding a mark.

Choose text or a logo watermark?

Text for document status

Enter a label such as “DRAFT” or a project name, then adjust color, size, opacity and rotation. Text is drawn as an image before it is placed in the PDF, so the watermark is not selectable or directly editable text.

Logo for identification

Choose a PNG or JPG up to 15 MB. A transparent PNG avoids a solid box around the logo; a JPG retains its image background. Adjust the logo width relative to the page and preview both text-heavy and illustrated pages.

Which pages receive the watermark?

Mark the whole documentSelect All pages.Inspect a text-heavy page and an illustrated page to check whether the mark covers content.
Mark only odd or even pagesSelect Odd pages only or Even pages only.Inspect two consecutive pages: the excluded page should have no mark.
Mark selected pagesSelect Custom pages and enter a range such as 1-3, 5.Select each PDF in the batch and preview both included and excluded pages.

Placement is separate from page scope: choose one of nine positions or repeat the mark in rows and columns. Adjust opacity and preview the result to keep underlying content readable.

Check each PDF and download the results

Review successes and failures

Each PDF is processed separately. A damaged or password-protected file may fail without stopping the rest. When processing finishes, review the result list before downloading individual PDFs or a ZIP containing only successful files.

A visible mark has limits

The watermark is placed as an image layer on the page and does not prevent copying or editing. Re-saving a digitally signed PDF may invalidate its signature; check signatures and layout after export.

Where are the PDFs processed?

PDFs and logos are read, previewed and processed in your browser; the tool does not upload them to KitoTool’s server. The page loads PDF.js, pdf-lib and JSZip from a CDN. Large batches need time and memory according to your device; download the results before closing the tab.
