Create a ZIP from files or folders online
Bundle files into one ZIP, or choose a folder to preserve the relative paths of its files. Set a compression level, optionally add a password, then download the ZIP.

Create ZIP on your device
Files are processed in your browser; this tool does not upload their contents to KitoTool servers.

Add files or a folder
Choose individual files to place them at the ZIP root; choose a folder in a supported browser to preserve its files’ relative paths.
Review the list before compression
Check the file count and total size. The list groups top-level folders; empty folders will not appear in the ZIP.
Set compression and password
Balanced is a useful default. Add a password to protect file contents, and keep it so you can open the archive later.
Create, download, and test the ZIP
Select Create ZIP, then Download ZIP. Open the saved archive and check its entries, especially when using a password or folder.
How do files and folders enter the ZIP?
Choosing individual files
Files go at the ZIP root. Duplicate names get suffixes to avoid overwriting.
Choosing or dropping a folder
When the browser provides relative paths, files keep their positions in subfolders. Only files are added, so empty folders are omitted.
Folder selection is unavailable
Choose individual files instead. If drag and drop only exposes a flat file list, the folder structure may be lost.
Choose compression and check the downloaded ZIP
- ZIP size
- Fast (1), Balanced (6), and Maximum (9) use different DEFLATE levels. Images, video, PDFs, and existing archives may shrink little or make the ZIP larger; higher levels can take longer.
- Password-protected ZIP
- A password enables ZIP AES-256. Your extractor must support ZIP AES, and this tool cannot recover a lost password. Filenames in the ZIP may still be visible.
- If the ZIP cannot be created or opened
- Check your connection so zip.js can load, try fewer files if the browser runs out of memory, and use a ZIP AES-compatible extractor if you set a password.
Data handling and limits
This tool reads files and creates a ZIP Blob in the browser; its code does not send file contents to an KitoTool API. The zip.js library loads from a CDN. The server sets no size limit, but large or numerous files can exceed your device’s memory or processing capacity.
