How do public and private rooms differ?

Public rooms can be found by title or topic and joined directly without a code or password. Private rooms never appear in Discover and require both a code and password; invite links do not bypass authentication. With approval enabled, guests wait before screen, voice and chat connect.

Why is the room open but no screen is visible?

The host must select Share screen and approve a source. A created room does not confirm a working media connection. Check participant status, retry or change networks. Some corporate networks, VPNs and NATs require administrator-configured TURN.

Does this tool record or remotely control a computer?

This version provides live screen viewing, chat and voice. Recording, synchronized URL video playback and remote mouse or keyboard control are not included. Viewers can still record content on their own devices.

How long is room data retained?

Rooms expire after 2 hours. SDP/ICE waits at most 90 seconds and is deleted after recipient acknowledgement. New requests trigger cleanup; cron also cleans during idle periods. Chat stays in the browser session. Closing a room deletes its metadata and signaling.
