Download photos from public Instagram posts
Paste a post or Reel link to see the photos and videos Instagram currently provides. Save carousel items one at a time; if only a Reel cover is available, the result says so. Free to use, with no login required.
Paste a link and see available files
Use a /p/, /reel/ or /tv/ link to one specific item.
Checking the public link...
Save only your content or content you have permission to use. The link is sent to KitoTool’s server to check public media.
From an Instagram link to the file you need
Get the post link
Open a public photo post, carousel or Reel and copy its direct link. Profile and Story links are not accepted.
Review found files
Paste the link above and select Find files. The tool lists photos or videos returned by the source; use All, Photos or Video to filter the result.
Download and check
Check each file label before downloading. Save carousel items individually, then open the saved file to confirm its contents and actual quality.
Understand photo, video and Reel results
| Result | What you can do | Check this |
|---|---|---|
| Photo post | Download the displayed JPG; each found carousel item has its own button. | The source may return fewer items than the original post. |
| Video or Reel | Download MP4 when a video file is actually listed. | Do not assume every Reel has an MP4 or the same resolution. |
| Cover or preview only | You can save only the labeled JPG; it is not the video or a guaranteed full post image. | Retry later or check the original post if you need the video. |
When a link does not return the file you expected
- Invalid link
- Use a direct HTTPS instagram.com/p/…, /reel/… or /tv/… URL. Remove any surrounding text before pasting.
- No files found
- Check whether the post opens while signed out. Deleted, restricted or temporarily unavailable source media may not be returned.
- Only a Reel cover
- The Video filter cannot create an MP4; switch back to All if you want to save the cover.
- Expired download link
- Run the original post link again and download the newly listed file.
Access scope and usage rights
The page sends your URL to KitoTool’s server to read public Instagram embed data. Available files pass through the server for download to your browser. The tool does not ask for a password and cannot access Stories, private accounts or posts visible only after login. Media links may expire, and file type and resolution depend on the source.
Download and reuse only content you own or have permission to use. A public post does not by itself grant reuse rights for its photos, videos or music. Read Instagram’s copyright guidance.
